Kiwi culture reflection

Recently in social studies we have been focusing on a new unit (Kiwi culture). We've been learning about heritage,identity,culture,kiwi icons,New Zealand herald etc.  I've learnt about different kiwi icons and different understandings of culture, I've also studied about another culture. This unit really increased my knowledge about culture and a better understanding things of my culture. The most exciting part of kiwi culture would be researching another culture for this task I selected Japanese/Japan, I've made sentences and answered questions about why I selected this county and some unique things about it.  Thanks to kiwi culture I've learnt to appreciate my culture more and respect other cultures as well, Including identifying myself eg. Who and what I am. Anyways this concludes my reflection have a good holiday!

Being Cyber smart

Sexy paragraph

I strongly agree that its important to be Cybersmart because they are many bad things that can happen using your iPhone,Chromebook,laptop, iPad either online or on social media. Trying new things on a new app or site can leave big damage for eg.  receiving a virus and emails, posting personal information or images which can give people more information about you and either commenting or posting mean,hateful,disgusting things about someone or something. Personally I would keep my social media account private and only accept family and friends, Not post negative things about people and my location, Make sure I'm on the correct sites and try not sign up for ads,pop ups and any new site so I don receive any emails about promotions or deals.  

Reflection

This is a task I was set to do in English, we had Whaea Kerry come in and teach us about Cybersmart we are lucky enough to have her once a week. She teaches us about how to be Cybersmart,making sure we are on the correct sites and learning new techniques on our Chromebook. This is a sexy paragraph I've completed about why its important to be cyber smart, I really enjoyed this task it was really easy and I completed it in the time given, Hopefully next week I'll get to post more about being Cybersmart.

Plants and Photosynthesis

For the past three to four weeks we have been focusing on Plants and photosynthesis, This is mine and my partners (Miria) Presentation, we decided to not do as much slides as other because they will be filled with the same information and we thought it would be to leave it short and sweet. My name is Ocean I go to Bay Of Islands College I am Maori/Samoan. I adore participating in basketball,Rugby,Touch,Netball, etc. I’m good at science and pe, I challenge myself to get more involved in different sports and not to be shy. My goal this year is to...Stay on top of work and give every opportunity ago. I’m looking forward to travel more and experience new things that I haven’t tried. Summer learning journey (Day 2 Activity 1 Similes)

So today we had Tayla come in to our class and explain about the summer learning journey and to start with some activity's. We started with Day 2 Activity 1 Faster than a speeding bullet). At first I found this activity quite hard than Mrs Cowles gave me a little help then I got the hang of it! Weekly 3

Final free writing (Santa parade at Whangarei)

Kia ora so this is my FINAL free writing its about what I did on Saturday night hope you enjoy! Me and my friend Deeny were heading down to Whangarei with my two cousins and my Auntie and Uncle! It was a typical drive down to Whangarei and once we got there we went shopping. We shopped for Christmas present for awhile and once our legs started being sore we walked back to the car, From there on we went to the ASB rugby field. It was so hot we sat there for about 3 hours straight then we finally got a ice cream and it was slowly getting dark, We bought glow sticks and! And we also watch the cool fireworks they were so big and loud. After that we felt very tired we got dropped off at Deeny's nana's and just freaked it on fornite,Mincraft and youtube.
